Psalm 150 - "Footprints"

Dear Jesus,
I'm sorry for not spending more time with You this morning.  I'm thankful for those few minutes we had together because they are what have enabled me to handle the curve balls thrown our way today.  I pray for Your wisdom to continue to be with us.  I also pray for Your strength in not only my physical body but most importantly in my spiritual body.  Your words, Father are what I need to come out of my mouth.  More of You, Lord, and less of me is necessary to get through these tough days.  Father, when I get to the point of feeling like I can't continue on I know it will be You that carries me through.  I am reminded of the poem "Footprints" and am blessed…

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
                             when I was suffering from
                         anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
      "You promised me Lord,
         that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
                                 there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?"

                                 The Lord replied,
                          "The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints,
          is when I carried you."

I am praying Psalm 150 today…praising Your Holy Name!

Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
    praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.

Thank You Jesus for being The One To Carry Me.  Amen.
