Romans 12:1-2 - Corporate Worship

The Lord took me to Romans 12 this morning, specifically the first two verses...

12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

I pray the Lord is pleased with my actions, words, attitude, etc.  I pray He is blessed by my worship as I live for Him and hear His Voice.  Today is a day of worship with my church family but each and every day is a day of personal worship.  At the funeral yesterday I was reminded of many things Mary did during the short time I knew her.  As I heard words spoken of her I wondered, "What will be said at my funeral?  Will people remember me with such fond memories?"

Dear Jesus,
I praise You for being My God.  I praise You for being the One I worship.  I praise You for the way You speak to me.  Father, today as we gather together as a body of believers I pray for people to truly worship You.  I also pray for any who are contemplating not being in corporate worship to make the decision to be there.  I pray people will not be conformed to the world and choose to go shopping or to a sports event or to just stay home but rather to be in church today.  I pray You will be very real to each one.  Bless us, Lord.  Thank You for being The One I Worship!  Amen.
