"You are the God who performs miracles; You display Your power among the peoples." Psalm 77:14
I love, love, love teaching the teen Sunday School class. They always amaze me at the things they say, the questions they ask, the observations they make, etc. We always start class out with prayer requests. Yesterday was no different than any other as they shared what was on their hearts. It seemed like many had unspoken requests. Those always get my attention because whatever they are, the teens can't verbally share them. This normally means there is hurt involved or shame. One request in particular yesterday was from one of the guys asking for prayer for a friend who was going through a rough time. I'm so thankful for the way the Lord has put compassion into this teen's heart for not only classmates in our class but also their classmates at school. That prayer time was about the only thing that was "normal" with class yesterday. My written lesson on worship kind of went by the wayside when the Holy Spirit took over. I shared with them again about how the Lord was speaking to me. They've heard about it before but the Holy Spirit nudged me to give them examples on how He has spoken to me as I worship. He encouraged me to explain how worship is not just when we are at church or when we are singing. About two-thirds through our time together the young man who asked for prayer for his friend raised his hand. He said that God had spoken to him about his friend's problem. Woo hoo! Thank You Jesus! This was so exciting not only for me as his teacher but especially for him to have the experience. I was not the only one in the room now who had experienced hearing from the Lord. Woo hoo!
Thank You Jesus for this group of young lives who are becoming such an awesome core group of teens. Thank You Jesus for the way Pastor James and Jody are teaching them. Thank You Jesus for the compassion You have put into their hearts for others. Thank You Jesus for giving me the opportunity to be their Sunday School teacher. Thank You Jesus for this time where You become more real to this one through speaking to him. Lord, I ask for more of Your Presence not only in my life but in the teens lives. I love Psalm 77:14. "You are the God who performs miracles; You display Your power among the peoples." Woo hoo! I love, love, love the miracles and power we are seeing! Amen.

"You Are Amazing"
I woke up this morning singing "You Are Amazing" by Lincoln Brewster. I love the way this song describes my Lord. He is amazing in all the miracles he performs each and every day. He promised a miracle for my friend Kari in my dream last night. He told me to tell her that her hearing would be restored on this earth. Wow! It was amazing to read her post this morning about what she experienced last night.
"Last night was a very powerful night at the Well and I in awe of my Papa and I am claiming healing of 100% in my ears and will be healed this year as predicted. I was able to hear Launita play the synthesizer WITHOUT my hearing aide for the first time in my entire life!!! What a beautiful sound and she made me laugh when and went low to hear it too! :-) Praise Papa!!! Wooohhhoooo!!!"
Woo hoo! I believe my dream was a confirmation for her! "Oh how marvelous; Oh how wonderful; Oh how glorious; You are amazing; Oh how marvelous; Oh how wonderful;
Oh how glorious You are" Amen...Praise You Jesus!
You Are Amazing - Lincoln Brewster
You're the one who walked on water
And You calmed the raging seas
You command the highest mountains
To fall upon their knees
You're the one who welcomed sinners
And You opened blinded eyes
You restored the brokenhearted
And You brought the dead to life
Forgetting all our sins
You remember all Your promises
You are amazing
More than amazing
Forever our God
You're more than enough
You are amazing
With authority You've spoken
And You've set the captive free
You're the King who came to serve
And You're the God who washed our feet
You're the one who took our burdens
And You bled upon the cross
In your kindness and Your mercy
You became the way for us
Forgetting all our sins
You remember all Your promises
You are amazing
More than amazing
Forever our God
You're more than enough

Romans 8:28 - "Your Love Never Fails"
I went to bed last night praying for one who has a major health decision to make and once again this morning woke up praying for them. I also woke up singing Jesus Culture's "Your Love Never Fails." As I pray for them, I am asking the Lord to direct their decision. I am also asking for them to know "There may be pain in the night but joy comes in the morning." I am so thankful I have experienced that joy over and over again. I am also asking the Lord to enable this one to look to Him for the right answer. I pray they will say after the decision has been made, "You make all things work together for my good." Woo hoo! Another thing I am thankful I have experienced! I was reading about what the writer had to say about "Your Love Never Fails." He wrote: "This song is a simple song of gratitude to my unfailing Savior, and a repeatable self-reminder of his faithfulness. Every believer daily faces an unrelenting onslaught of circumstances and situations that challenge our faith. Many of us are currently facing an immediate, dire need for God to come through in a big way. The truth: God has not forgotten you, He is closer than you could ever imagine, He is still the same today as yesterday, and His ultimate goal is “that you might have life, and life abundantly.” Your trial will eventually work for your good, too. It may not happen in your time frame, or in the way you expected, but love will prevail--love never fails. I made a decision that I need to believe those words. I know that the Bible is absolutely true, and I need to choose to believe in God before I can see how all things will work together for good." Lord, I pray for this one making the decision to see You in every aspect of it.
Lord, I continue to pray for the decision this one has to make and especially for them to see You in every aspect of it. I also pray this morning for the premie that was born last night....please strengthen not only this baby girl but also the Momma. Lord, You know the things I have planned for today but Father the most important thing for me to do is Your Will. Please close doors to anything You don't want me to do and open those that need opened for me to walk in Your Will. I am praying Romans 8:28 this morning. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Woo hoo! I love You so much Lord and am so grateful that You have called me. Thank You Father for being The One Who Loves Me. Amen.
Nothing can separate
Even if I ran away
Your love never fails
I know I still make mistakes
But You have new mercies for me everyday
Your love never fails
Chorus:
You stay the same through the ages
Your love never changes
There may be pain in the night but joy comes in the morning
And when the oceans rage
I don't have to be afraid
Because I know that You love me
Your love never fails
Verse 2:
The wind is strong and the water's deep
But I'm not alone here in these open seas
Cause Your love never fails
The chasm is far too wide
I never thought I'd reach the other side
But Your love never fails
Bridge:
You make all things work together for my good

Isaiah 42:1-9 - Muddy Waters
Wow, Lord! What an exciting night You and I had! You woke me up several times to pray. Once for Life Flight. Once for Doc's sermon preparation. Once for me to pray about something You were going to have me do. You told me, "you need to pray to be prepared and ready for what I will have you do." But the time that was the most exciting was when You said, "You will walk through muddy waters. Have no fear, Daughter, for I am with You." I didn't understand what that meant and I prayed for clarification. After falling back to sleep You gave me a dream where I literally walked through muddy waters. It was the most beautiful place I've ever seen. There were mountains where I was hiking with a group of people. Then we came to this large body of water that was so muddy. It looked like chocolate milk....lol. We had to cross in order to get to dry land but we didn't know how deep it was. We started out walking and then it became deeper so we had to swim. But after a while we were to the other side where the dry land was. Then this huge lion creature was pouncing around but people weren't afraid of it. Your words kept coming back to me. "Have no fear, Daughter, for I am with You."
I had to get up and write about what I was given. I still don't understand it. I looked to see if "muddy waters" was in the Bible but the only thing I found was that the Jordan River was muddy. I read about Naaman's story of being healed in the muddy water. When I think of "muddy waters" I think of something that is unclear.
Then Lord, You took me to Isaiah 42:1-9....
Lord, I thank You for a night of prayer. I thank You that not only was I in intercessory prayer but You also gave me something for me to ponder. Lord, draw me closer to You and in Your time reveal to me what my "muddy waters" are. Father, I am Your servant and I will do whatever You ask of me. Thank You, Lord for giving me Isaiah 42:1-9 this morning to read. Verse 9 speaks to me in a great way. "See, the former things have taken place and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.” Whatever the muddy waters represent...whatever the "new things" represent...I am Your servant and ready to do as You so desire. Thank You Father for being My Director! Amen.

Isaiah 42:1-9
New International Version (NIV)
The Servant of the Lord
42 “Here is my servant, whom I uphold,
my chosen one in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him,
and he will bring justice to the nations.
2 He will not shout or cry out,
or raise his voice in the streets.
3 A bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
4 he will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justice on earth.
In his teaching the islands will put their hope.”

In his teaching the islands will put their hope.”
5 This is what God the Lord says—
the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out,
who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it,
who gives breath to its people,
and life to those who walk on it:
6 “I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness;
I will take hold of your hand.
I will keep you and will make you
to be a covenant for the people
and a light for the Gentiles,
7 to open eyes that are blind,
to free captives from prison
and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.

I will not yield my glory to another

Psalm 40 - "So Good, So, So Good To Me"
As I walked into the living room this morning I passed the humidifier which is putting moisture into the air in order to decrease the static electricity. It made me think about how Mordecei has so much static electricity in him. Every time he touches you the static gets you. You even hear it when he gets down off the chair. What is amazing is that it doesn’t seem to bother him. What if everyone I came in contact with felt something through me? What if everyone who saw me felt the Lord through my words and my actions? What if it was so automatic for me that it didn’t make me feel uncomfortable? I keep praying for more of Him and less of me. I don’t want people to see me but rather I want them to see the Holy Spirit working through me. I am so grateful for living in His Presence. It has given me such peace in knowing I am not in control of anything....He is. It has given me such strength in knowing that it is not my strength I must depend upon...it is His. It has given me such joy in knowing that I am doing what the Lord desires of me...not just what I desire. It has given me such love for people that I normally would not feel much love for...His love. It has given me the desire in my heart to pursue more righteousness...His truth. Thank You Jesus for being “So good, so, so good to me...”
Psalm 40
1 I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.
2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
3 He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.
4 Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.
5 Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.
6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire—but my ears you have opened—
burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require.
burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require.
7 Then I said, “Here I am, I have come—it is written about me in the scroll.
8 I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.”
9 I proclaim your saving acts in the great assembly; I do not seal my lips, Lord, as you know.
10 I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help. I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness from the great assembly.
11 Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.
12 For troubles without number surround me; my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see. They are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails within me.
13 Be pleased to save me, Lord; come quickly, Lord, to help me.
14 May all who want to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.
15 May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!” be appalled at their own shame.
16 But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The Lord is great!”
17 But as for me, I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer; you are my God, do not delay.
I love what Matthew Henry writes about this Psalm. “If, in singing this psalm, we mix faith with the prophecy of Christ, and join in sincerity with the praises and prayers here offered up, we make melody wit our hearts to the Lord.” Woo hoo!
Dear Lord,
I am singing Psalm 40 this morning to You this morning so that I too can “make melody wit our hearts..” to You. I pray You will take my praises and bless them abundantly. Lord, You “put a new song in my mouth” when You led me to the idea of living in Your Presence. I am so thankful for this change in my life. I praise Your Holy Name for the ways You are using me and the ways You are working through me. Thank You Lord for being My Presence! Amen.

Psalm 73:26
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26
I came upon this verse while studying for my Tuesday morning Bible study. I LOVE IT!!! We are studying Liz Curtis Higgs book, Bad Girls of the Bible. The first chapter is about Evie and temptation. When I read this verse, I praised God that He is my strength and He will be with me forever. When the enemy tempts us, he is with us for a short time and praise God doesn't dwell in our hearts like Christ does. God's strength is our strength at all times--Praise His Holy Name for that! I also praise Him that we don't have to worry about having the enemy around forever. His Word tells us in Revelation 20:2-3 that the enemy will be bound for a thousand years. "He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time." Those that will once again be tempted during that short time will need to lean on God's strength. Praise God, after that short time, the enemy will be gone forever. Revelation 20:14 reads, "Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death." What a comforting thought to know that God's strength is with His followers FOREVER! The enemy won't be around FOREVER! Thinking about this makes it even more important for people to realize that God is the One to follow and not the enemy. He may give temporal pleasures but the eternal pleasures come from a relationship with Christ.

Philippians 4:13
I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
When I was in bed waiting on my diagnosis, God gave me Philippians 4:13 for "my verse". When I first read it, I thought He was telling me that I would eventually be back on my feet on my own strength. It didn't take Him long to get it through my thick skull that I WOULD be back on my feet but it would be on HIS strength. It also didn't take him long to get me to understand that I need His strength not just for physical needs but also emotional and mental needs as I deal with the MS. Today is one of the days where my legs aren't cooperating. Some people may think that is just a physical problem but it is more than that. When I have to use my cane or hold onto things around the house, it makes me feel like the disease is winning and I don't like that. But sometimes when I really think about it I wonder if God doesn't allow times such as this to remind me that I need to depend on His strength and not my own. As I look back on the time prior to my diagnosis I know that I was living more on my own strength and not His. I also know that I've changed that and depend more on Him but I'm still guilty of falling back into bad habits of getting caught up on doing things on my own. I pray for His strength every day but especially on days such as this.
