Proverbs 18:10 - The Name of the Lord is a Strong Tower

Typical Sunday morning...the Lord woke me an hour before the clock was to go off in order to pray for  the ones who will be at church, the Praise Team, the Baby Day activities including dedications, Pastor James as he brings what the Lord has placed on his heart...  After I finished praying for others I prayed for myself.  I feel like the little engine who is trying to go up the hill and saying, "I think I can..."  The only problem is I'm saying, "I can't do this."  Then the Lord gently reminded me that I am not alone.  He is here to enable me to do whatever comes my way today.  He brought to my lips the chorus to Kutless's song "Strong Tower"..."You are my strong tower; A shelter over me; Beautiful and mighty; Everlasting King; You are my strong tower; Fortress when I'm weak; Your name is true and holy; And Your face is all I see."   Woo hoo!  I can just hear my Daddy say, "Now Sheila Babe, it's just a few hours and then you can rest.  You can do this because the Lord is with you."  So I need to change my attitude this morning and say "I know me and the Lord can do this."  I'm claiming Proverbs 18:10.  "The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe."  Anytime I feel like I can't go on today I will call upon the name of the Lord.  His name is powerful.  His name is blessed.

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for the encouragement You have given me today.  I praise You Lord for the affirmation of Your Strength that is here for me.  I praise You for the opportunities You will put before me today to be You to others.  Lord, I pray for protection over my mind and mouth.  I have some MS fuzziness today that needs to go away so I can function right.  I also pray for physical strength for today.  Father, You are so awesome and I praise You for all the ways You bless me.  Amen
